How do I find a local installer?
Simply request a call on our website and include your property address and project needs. We will happily help in-house or pair you with a local resource.
What does a UL listing mean?
This means a product has been tested by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and meets nationally recognized safety standards, confirming it is free from reasonably foreseeable risk of fire, electric shock, or hazards.
When do I turn my system on and off?
We recommend powering on your ThermaLine system when temperatures drop below freezing and snow or ice is present, ideally 1-2 hours before any incoming storms. You will primarily run your system during the day (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) to melt while the sun is active. Turn your system off when the roof is clear of snow and ice to save energy.
How do I control my new ice melt system?
Systems can be controlled via breaker panel, hardwired switch, or any standard heat tape controller/timer.
What is your warranty?
Our systems include a 10 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
How often will the cable need maintenance?
Clients generally expect to replace their cable every 10 years or so. Proper maintenance will not damage your panels in the process. This is much better than planning to replace your zig-zag system every other season!
Will this damage my roof?
When properly installed, ThermaLine will not require modification or damage to your roof like legacy panels. It is installed with an adhesive with no need to puncture your roof.
Will this require more power to my property?
If you are replacing your heat tape with ThermaLine, you will very likely have enough power for your new system since we require less cable to operate.
